Abstract

The optical transfer function (OTF) which governs the imaging capabilities of optical systems used in noncoherent illumination is mathematically described as the autocorrelation of the coherent transfer function, which in turn is directly related to the system's pupil. We present an approach for generating the rho -filter and indicate a way by which the entire operation can be performed in one step through the utilization of a hybrid optoelectronic system.
