Realistic finite differences modeling - A case study

Abstract

We present a new way for including fine layering into macro-model and constructing a grid of medium parameters (velocities and density )for finite difference modeling. A synthetic seismograms computed for realistic case of Gulf of Guinea is demonstrated. We illustrate velocity estimation procedure and depth migration of this data set.
