Abstract
The impact of nonlinear diffusion on reaction-diffusion processes was discussed. Formation of patterns in the genuinely nonlinear reaction diffusion model equation was investigated. A transformation was provided which mapped the model into a purely diffusive process free of its interacting part and its intrinsic temporal and spatial scales. Emerging patterns were completely characterized by the attractors of the diffusive process.
