Abstract
A patient with Krukenberg carcinoma of the ovary is described. She was operated first for the tumour in the ovary and four months later underwent a sub-total gastrectomy for a mucoid carcinoma of the stomach. The patient had an exceptionally long survival of 24 months. This symptom-free, long survival justified the aggressive operative treatment. The natural history and treatment of this rare tumour are discussed.
