Abstract

Lifetimes and quantum yields of the exciplex emission were measured for jet-cooled molecular complexes of anthracene and perylene with aniline and N-alkylanilines. Radiative and nonradiative decay rates are discussed in relation with the interstate coupling and with deactivation paths of charge-transfer states by the proton transfer.
