Abstract
The exact solution for the radiation from a screw dislocation oscillating in a long cylindrical tube is obtained. The results show that the fundamental resonant frequencies for thin-walled tubes are considerably lower than in corresponding solid cylinders. Consequently resonance radiation may play an essential role in dynamic fracture and plastic flow of such structures.
