Abstract

Let G be a finite group. The function $$\begin{aligned} \omega (G)=\{o(x):x\in G\} \end{aligned}$$ω(G)={o(x):x∈G} assigns to G the set of orders of all elements of G. In this survey we shall describe results concerning information about G that can be derived by looking either at ω(G) or at the complete list of orders of elements of G.
