Propagation of polarization-entangled photon pairs in optical fibers

Abstract

As polarization-entangled photons traverse through fibers with polarization mode dispersion the degree of their entanglement changes in fascinating ways. We will describe sudden loss and revival of entanglement and also will discuss non-local PMD compensation.
