Abstract
Fifty cases of primary gastric lymphoma are reviewed in a retrospective study. This tumor constituted 2.3% of malignant gastric neoplasms. The peak incidence is in the sixth decade and presenting signs and symptoms are nonspecific. X-ray revealed the presence, site, extent and neoplastic nature of the tumor but pre-operative diagnosis was made in only four patients. The treatment was radical excision in operable cases, and seven patients survived 5 years. The diagnosis and treatment of the tumor are discussed and the literature reviewed.
