Abstract

Plasma cell granuloma is a tumor‐like lesion consisting of mature plasma cells, sometimes with Russell bodies and reticuloendothelial cells, supported by a stroma of granulation tissue. These tumors are most common in the lungs and were sporadically reported in extrapulmonary sites. A rare case of plasma cell granuloma of the thyroid is reported. The value of immunohistochemical staining is demonstrated.
