Abstract
Fundus fluorescein angiography and determination of blood viscosity were performed in 27 patients with plasma cell dyscrasia of whom 5 had blood hyperviscosity. The pathological findings in the fundus of these patients were not correlated with the level of blood viscosity. The role of the sedimentation of the circulating abnormal immunoglobulins in the vessels of the retina and the appearance of the pathological changes need further investigation.
