Abstract
The motivation to study physics beyond the Standard Model of weak interactions is presented and ways to carry out such studies using cold atoms are described. Measurements leading to searches for non-Standard Model scalar and tensor interactions, searches for right-handed neutrinos and for time-reversal violations are described. The searches are done using precision measurements of β decay of cold trapped radioactive atoms and cold neutrons.
