Abstract

The design of a general-purpose set of 12 high Q-factor microwave resonators for the band 17-258 GHz was presented. The high Q-factor resonators are used to make the high-quality generators of the radar and navigation systems for carrying out the spectrum and frequency measurements. The proposed microwave resonator is used for measuring the phase and amplitude noise of microwave signal. The proposed resonators should meet the requirements that include wide band frequency timing, high Q-factor of operational mode, and high frequency stability of the working band. From the proposed resonator, the loaded Q-factor of (0,6-1,0) × 105 at VSWR<2.0 was achieved without any cryogenic engineering equipment.
