Abstract

A 15-yr-old girl with infectious mononucleosis complicated by parotitis and pancreatitis is presented. The diagnosis was confirmed by the presence of a raised titer of antibody against Epstein-Barr virus, which two months later dropped to normal. Serologic tests for other viruses were negative. This report is a reminder of the protean manifestations of infectious mononucleosis.
