Abstract

The article provides information about Elinor Ostrom, a joint winner of the 2009 Nobel prize in economic sciences, and her contributions to the field of anthropology. He was trained as a political scientist, but recognized as an honorary member of the tribe of anthropologists due to his contributions to the discipline. Her collaboration in arrangements designed for the enhancement of common pool resources (CPR) management, and commitment to empirical field research directed her to anthropology.
