Abstract
An orientation course for freshman engineers at Tel-Aviv University, Israel, consisting of 21 lectures on a range of subjects given by various speakers from the academic staff and industry is described. Two surveys on freshmen's changing attitudes towards several branches of engineering are reported and evaluated.
