Abstract
A computational model of the penis/IPP (inflatable penile prostheses) was used to optimize the stresses within the penile tissues during IPP-aided erections. It was shown that optimal selection of engineering design parameters for the IPP can eliminate substantial cylinder-tissue contact stresses, thus, reducing the likelihood for postoperative complications.
