On glassification temperatures of simple metallic alloys

Abstract

Analysis of heat-capacity data on liquid K_0.5Cs_0.5 gives a singularity point T₀=192 K which agrees with the glass temperature T_g=195 K derived earlier. Support for the well known 'two-third' rule for glass temperatures of metallic mixtures has been found. For both K_0.5C_0.5 and Na_0.118K _0.474Cs_0.408 these temperatures are in agreement with the density and viscosity data.
