Abstract
Using the Tamm-Dancoff-Dyson formalism, the potentials corresponding to 'one pion exchange' (OPEP) and 'two pion exchange' (TPEP) are calculated with full recoil. The method of helicities is used to reduce the integral equation to its scalar form. The equation is solved in momentum space, and the corresponding phase shifts for the OPEP computed for uncoupled states. Results indicate that the major contribution to the phase shifts for higher angular momentum states (L ≧ 2) comes from the OPEP.
