Abstract

The nuclear fusion driven by Coulomb explosion (NFDCE) process was explored, focusing on the energetics of the product ions and the implications of the cluster ionization process on the dynamics of electrons and ions. Previous studies were extended to consider high-energy dynamics of T+ ions from Tn homonuclear clusters from (T2O)n heteronuclear clusters. It was found that the energy spectrum of the D+ and T+ ions differs significantly from the thermal energy spectrum and is characterized by a maximal energy EM.
