Abstract

We describe a rare case of ectopic placental tissue, presenting as a vaginal tumor during normal intra-uterine pregnancy. Its clinicopathological features, and its possible relation to placental site tropho-blastic tumors are discussed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case to be reported in the English literature of such a lesion occurring at this site.
