Nonsteady condensation and evaporation waves

Abstract

The propagation of phase transition (PT) was studied by means of direct simulations. It was found that PT drives itself into an equilibrium state with a quiescent interface between the liquid and vapor phases. Equilibrium was established by the generation of acoustic shocks.
