Nonlinear generation and manipulation of airy beams

Abstract

We demonstrate a quadratic nonlinear photonic structure that converts a fundamental Gaussian beam to an accelerating Airy beam at the second harmonic. The nonlinear response enables all-optical switching of the beam's acceleration direction.
