New rulings on psychiatric issues by the supreme court of Israel: Part I

Supreme Court rulings dealing with psychiatric issues (for convenience referred to below as 'psychiatric rulings') are rare. In the years 1986/1987 two such rulings were published, which were both interesting and important. We will address these two decisions in relative depth while keeping within the scope and, at times, the language of the Supreme Court.
