Abstract

The purpose of this book was to explore various perspectives from around the globe on issues related to neighborhoods and child maltreatment. The chapters preceding this concluding chapter demonstrate the profound impacts that neighborhoods, communities, and the living environment surrounding families has on children and parents. To conclude the book, we would like to discuss further what we see as the next steps in research on neighborhoods and child maltreatment as well as policy recommendations within this space.
