Abstract
A multiwavelength optical interconnection architecture for parallel-processing computers is presented. This fully connected, internally nonblocking network, using tunable lasers, requires only two optical fibres per node. Wavelength switching measurements (access times > 20ns) and calculated throughput are presented. Critical target parameters are established for optical device development.
