Abstract

A multi-scale analysis of scattering from an interface between a spatially homogeneous waveguide and a finely structured laminate is per- formed. We use Multi-Resolution Homogenization theory to derive the leading macroscopic scattering phenomena, and a scale-related modal analysis to derive fine-scale corrections. The latter represent a micro-scale field localized within a boundary layer surrounding the micro-scale interface.
