Multiphoton resonances of an anharmonic molecule

We explore some of the features of high-order multiphoton excitation of the low-energy range of an "isolated" molecule, such as the laser frequency (ω) dependence of the escape probability PD and of the average vibrational energy (E), sorting out the contributions of one-photon and of multiphoton resonances, which account for the distinct characteristics of the PD versus ω and of the (E) versus ω dependence.
