title = "Multifocusing 3D diffraction imaging for detection of fractured zones in mudstone reservoirs -Case study",
abstract = "Natural fractures play an important in developing unconventional reservoirs. Seismic diffraction can be considered as a direct indicator of extended systems of natural fractures. Diffraction Multifocusing Method is an effective tool for detection, delineation and imaging of small scale subsurface elements inclusding fractures. It consists of an optimal summation of seismic data along in diffraction traveltime trajectories. The presented case study shows that diffraction imaging offers a new perspective on finding and characterizing fracture zones in unconventional reservoirs.",
