N2 - The abundances of CO, C2H2 and HCN, produced by lightning in the Jovian cumulus clouds, are computed using the moist convection parameters of Stoker (1986, Icarus 67, 106-125) and Lunine and Hunten (1987, Icarus 69, 566-570). We show that reasonable assumptions regarding the overshoot of the fast rising cells and subsequent mixing, allow for abundances of CO and HCN consistent with observation, while C2H2 requires an additional photolytic source.
