N2 - In this Letter we present temporal decay patterns due to different relaxation mechanisms in various disordered systems. Thus, the disorder is modelled in terms of: (1) spatial distributions of defect sites, (2) self-similar, fractal geometries, (3) distributions of waiting times. For each of these models the decay form Φ(t) ≡ exp[-(t/τ)'] obtains under certain conditions, although the microscopic relaxation dynamics differ in every case.
