Abstract

A systematic method is presented for solving the two-frequency coherence function problem in a random medium. The solution in terms of a modal superposition is given in a general form of any statistically isotropic and homogeneous medium and for any initial source configuration. The general form for an initial beam is given and the explicit result for a quadratic structure function.
