Abstract

In this paper we consider the QFT control design problem for a square, linear time invariant, multi-input multi-output uncertain plant which has robust stability and robust performance specifications. A typical MIMO QFT procedure includes, first the design of a non-diagonal pre-controller, Gn(s), to meet certain criteria, followed by the well-known sequential design of a diagonal QFT controller, Gd(s). For the design of the non-diagonal controller, we present a new approach that emphasizes the bandwidth of the controller Gn(s)Gd(s).
