Abstract

The analysis of elastic fiber reinforced laminated plates is by now well established. The present work is concerned with the determination of the constitutive laws describing the gross behaviour of inelastic fiber reinforced laminated plates. The fiber reinforced lamina is modeled according to the theory presented in left bracket 2 right bracket . In this work the average behaviour of unidirectional fiber reinforced composites whose constituents are elasto-plastic have been formulated. The matrix is elasto-plastic work-hardening and the fiber material is represented by an anisotropic constituent because of the widespread use of carbon and graphite fibers which are highly anisotropic. Comparisons with other analytical and experimental approaches has proven in left bracket 2 right bracket the reliability of the obtained constitutive laws.
