Abstract

The exact results for the total transmission of the closed Aharonov-Bohm interferometer (ABI), Τ, are presented. Under appropriate conditions, one can thus extract αD from the measured Τ, eliminating the need to open the interferometer. It is demonstrated that the results for a simple lattice model represents a real tight-binding hopping matrix element -J, -IL, -IR, -JL, and -JR.
