Abstract

The first coincidence measurements of the (+,0p) reaction are reported. These were performed on O16 at T+=245 MeV for 0=50°-130°. Events corresponding to removal of p-shell nucleons were identified by their 0 and p energies. The 0 energy spectra for such events are compared to predictions of -hole model calculations; the calculations generally underestimate the (+,0p) cross sections. At forward angles experimental ratios of the (+,+p) and (+,0p) reactions are shown to differ significantly from estimates based on free -N cross sections.
