Abstract

The reduced‐field testing (RFT) method, presented here, is based on the distinction between near‐field and far‐field interactions in the spatial domain, generating a single, explicit sparse matrix. Basis functions are chosen independently; thus the method can enhance existing codes and be combined with other efficient techniques. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
