Abstract

We study the problem of a large number N of one-dimensional (bounded) potential barriers in a finite interval. We show that its various physical parameters depend sensitively upon the ratio of total spacing to total barriers width, exhibiting, for critical parameter values, Zeno-type transmission and chaotic-like effects.
