Liquid lithium-hydrogen rocket engine with regeneration of components

Abstract

A novel jet engine based on lithium-hydrogen reaction and can be used for space travels. The task of LITOJET project is to develop a reusable rocket and space system capable to ensure a considerable reduction of costs for manned space travels from low geocentric orbit to selenocentric one and back, taking into consideration the space ecological regulations, implying the avoidance of radioactive contamination of the Earth biosphere in the course of spacecraft launching and traveling. Preliminary calculations of the engine are given. The project was presented in scientific seminar of new repatriates from Russia and was sent to Defense Ministry on September 25, 2017.
