Abstract
Our work has dealt with the elaboration and study of two questionnaires, one concerning the child and the other, his parents. These questionnaires have peritted, through a semi-structured interview, the assessment of the child according to the psychosocial axis of the ICD 10. We have studied the interater reliability of each questionnaire and compared the informations provided by the children to those provided by their parents. The studied population has been constituted by a consecutive series of 36 patients hospitalized in the department of infant-juvenile psychiatry. The children and the couples of parents have been assessed separately. Each interview has been filmed in order to permit a second assessment by a second rater. This double rating has enabled us to study the interater reliability. The Kappa statistical test has permitted to study the agreements. The results have shown an excellent interater reliability and a low children/parents agreement. This proves that the << children >> and << parents >> questionnaires have permitted to collect a specific and complementary information and confirms the previous studies underlying the interest of getting several sources of information in child and adolescent psychiatry.
