Abstract

We demonstrate that using dithering techniques the power constrained AWGN channel can be transformed into a modulo lattice additive noise channel, effectively increasing the SNR by one. This allows lattice decoding to be optimal for SNRs for which a pair of "good" nested lattices exist.
