When performed laparoscopically, myomectomy affords patients the benefits of a minimally invasive approach. However, concerns have been raised about uterine integrity during pregnancy following this procedure. For those women who desire future pregnancy, laparoscopic-assisted myomectomy allows suturing of the uterine defect in layers. The authors have had good results with this approach and recommend it in selected cases.
