Abstract
Intramitochondrial crystalline inclusions are described in the liver and tumor cells obtained on liver biopsy from a patient with metastatic hypernephroma of the liver. The same drugs as given to the patient failed to produce similar formations in the hepatocyte mitochondria in mice. Since the patient's liver cells showed in addition other pronounced alterations, the possibility that the liver injury served as a common factor for the appearance of these inclusions is discussed.
