Abstract

The H∞ optimization problem is solved by the equalizing solutions technique which requires a special type of Diophantine equations to be solved. This type of Diophantine equation is difficult to solve numerically in the multivariable case. The application of the directional interpolation approach to the H∞ filtering design problem is considered in this paper. This approach provides an explicit solution to the problem without the need for approximation techniques.
