Internal field in iodine impurities in ferromagnetic spinel CuCr2Te4

Mössbauer measurements with CuCr2129Tem4-129I) sources yield Hint(I) = -48 ± 2 kOe. In view of this result and of the values of Hint(Te) reported by other authors, a possible mechanism for the transferred hyperfine interaction at the anion is discussed.
