Abstract

We identify a distinct superconducting phase at the interface of an epitaxial bilayer system consisting of La1.48Nd0.4Sr 0.12CuO4 and La1.84Sr0.16CuO 4 using ac screening measurements. Two-dimensional superconductivity of the interface layer appears to be governed by Kosterlitz-Thouless-Berezinskii transition and the order parameter seems to be of d-wave nature.
