Abstract

This article focuses on the integration of historical construction knowledge during the earliest phase of the engineering and architectural education. An historical review of the specialization process in the field of historical construction is introduced, from early days until present, and current problems are analyzed in relation to our era. As an outcome, different possible strategies are developed and introduced.
