N2 - Conditions for the injection locking of vertical-cavity laser arrays are considered. The injection power required for locking to be achieved depends on various parameters such as the injected-field distribution and frequency as well as the array geometry and pumping strength. The circulating field distribution, driven by the injected field, is controlled mainly by the frequency detuning from the laser resonances as well as by the injected-field distribution.
