N2 - A present experimental investigation is conducted on the wake of repeating disks for ranges number of elements n=1-4, wake length x/D=0-10, spacing ratio Lx/D=3-7, where D is the diameter of disks, Lx is the distance between disks. Planar-PIV technique was used for the study of decay on an axisymmetric turbulent wake in a water flume for Reynolds number Re = 1.76·105. For a configuration with more than two elements, the difference in the wake behavior for repeating elements was found. However, the difference between the decay of a deficit of axial velocity for different distances between the disks (Lx) was insignificant as compared with the difference between the wakes behind a pair of disks and a single disk. Also, an influence of oncoming turbulence level on the wake characteristics of the single disk was showed.
