Abstract
A comparison between the reactions γp → π+-+ anything and γn → π+-+ anything has been carried out with a linearly polarized photon beam of 7.5 GeV incident energy. The data has been analysed in terms of the structure functions F(x), F(P∥) and F(P⊥2). The reaction γN → ρ{variant}0 + anything has been investigated and found to have similar behaviour as leading particles in hadron induced reactions as expected from the vector dominance model. Finally the reaction γp → Δ++ + anything was found to exhibit backward leading particle features and to be consistent with a one pion exchange mechanism.
